I do a mandatory 2000 word sample edit before accepting a project. (This applies to first time clients only.)
I need to know if your work is ready for a professional edit. This will also give you valuable feedback.
Editing: $50 per hour with a 1 hour minimum. By the quarter hour ($12.50) after that.
Large projects require a $200 deposit.
The Editor will do one comprehensive edit looking for everything at once. (Note: It is not possible for one person to catch everything this way.) The Client pays $50 per hour for this service. There is NO further payment after this step.
Included at no extra charge: Before returning the project to the Client the Editor will go through it once more. The manuscript is then returned to the Client. The Client will revise the manuscript and return it to the Editor for final proofreading.There is no further charge for the proofreading.
Three edits for the price of one: Client pays only for the first edit. The second edit and the final proofread are included free of charge.
Payment is by E-mail Money Transfer.
Author is responsible for insuring that the FINAL EDITED DOCUMENT is the one sent to the printer or publisher and any discrepancy between said document and the final version the editor authorized is the sole responsibility of the author and in no way a reflection of the quality of the editorial work.
